Surgery Rescheduled for 7/31

The surgery has been rescheduled for Friday, 7/31. We'll go to San Francisco the day before for tests and preparation. We'll come home Monday, 8/3.

Bobby has been doing ok and has managed to still be dialysis-free which makes the transplant all the more hopeful. He will get to enjoy his annual camping trip this Saturday.
I've been fine, too, and ok with my new friend, Lupus Anticoagulant (aka Blood Clot) who whispers to me to stay active, which is a good thing. I'm glad to be running around at Anna's Run-Bike-Run Birthday party this Saturday.

For the surgery I'll be given a blood thinner before and after the surgery to decrease the risk of blood clots. Afterwards, once I can get up and take a few steps, I can stop the blood thinner. So I'm hoping I'll be able to move around a little that evening. Full recovery will be 6-8 weeks.
Bobby is young and active and without dialysis which will help his recovery and kidney acceptance. We'll be praying for the new kidney to work for him. His recovery will take about 4 months.

We have felt God's hand in all of this and that is comforting. Your prayers and messages help, too, and have meant a lot.
Thanks and God Bless.
